POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS

CRL has a winning record of creating and implementing campaigns and successful community relations strategies.

CRL works successfully with diverse local community groups in Colorado, including those representing homeowners, businesses, neighborhoods, service providers and other special interests.

Our successful political campaign efforts include:

2006

  • No on 2A (Boulder) – defeated “annexation by vote” initiative
  • Yes on 2B (Lone Tree) – use tax increase

2005

  • Base Village Alliance - construction of new base village in Snowmass Village, Colorado
  • Citizens for Denver Public Schools - mill levy election for a teacher pay system
  • Keep Thornton Strong - land use/zoning issue
  • Lakewood - sales tax increase
  • Commerce City - bond issue
  • Tourism Pays - increase in Denver’s lodging tax
  • Keep Washington Rolling - effort to keep gas tax in place

2004

  • FasTracks Yes! - RTD’s $4.7 billion mass-transit initiative
  • Citizens for the Future of Commerce City - bond campaign for $56 million for soccer stadium

2003

  • Citizens for Cherry Creek Schools - bond and mill levy campaign for operations and capital construction
  • Citizens for Denver Public Schools - bond and mill levy campaign
    for operations and capital construction
  • Citizens for Douglas County Schools - bond and mill levy campaign
    for operations and capital construction
  • Denver Options - mill levy increase for programs to aid the developmentally disabled
  • Platte Trust Annexation - 1,600 acres of unincorporated land into Milliken, Colorado
  • YES on 1A - $28 million for road improvements in Douglas County
  • Pueblo School District - $98.5 million bond issue for new schools

2002

  • Neighbors for a Better Denver - charter change to move the Planning Department to the cabinet level
  • Pueblo School District 60 - $99 million bond for repairs and renovations

2001

  • City of Centennial - mill levy increase for city operations
  • Academy School District 20 - $163 million bond issue for new schools in El Paso County
  • Keep Pueblo at Work - citywide half-cent sales tax to attract
    employers to Pueblo

2000

  • No on Amendment 21 - defeated statewide tax-cut initiative
  • Citizens for Lone Tree’s Future - special election for annexation of
    unincorporated property into the City of Lone Tree
  • Citizens for Douglas County Schools - $178 million for capital construction
