Government Affairs Coordinator

    

Jacob Aragon is a Government Affairs Coordinator at CRL Associates, Inc. He joined the team in January of 2026 where he supports public affairs and government relations initiatives through legislative research, policy tracking, and engagement with local stakeholders.

Prior to joining CRL Associates, Jacob gained experience across federal, state, nonprofit, and academic institutions. He served as a Policy Intern with Provecho Collective, contributing to program development and research supporting food security and equity initiatives. He also worked as a Congressional Intern with the U.S. House of Representatives, assisting with legislative research and constituent case management, and as a Campaign Fellow with Congressman Neguse, where he supported voter engagement and community outreach efforts.

In addition, Jacob’s public service background includes service with the Office of the Governor of Colorado, where he supported aerospace and defense initiatives, and with the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General, where he contributed to Medicaid fraud investigations and policy initiatives. He also served with the University of Colorado Boulder’s Office of Government and Community Engagement, strengthening partnerships between the university and public sector stakeholders, and held the position of Attorney General for the University of Colorado Boulder Student Government, providing in-house guidance and advocacy within student governance and with federal, state, and local government initiatives.

A committed leader and advocate, Jacob co-founded and served as President of the first chapter of Delta Lambda Phi Social Fraternity at the University of San Diego, establishing the first LGBTQ+ fraternity at a religious institution in the nation. His leadership and community engagement efforts led to his selection as a panelist on ABC 10News’ special “Pride in America,” where he represented and discussed issues impacting the LGBTQ+ community at both the local and national levels.

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder and graduated in May of 2025. He brings a strong commitment to advocacy, equity, and collaborative problem-solving to his work, along with a dedication to thoughtful policy engagement and effective stakeholder collaboration.
